The Pillar Lead Totton

We are delighted to advertise the role of Pillar Lead for a new and innovative project, The Pillar. This is a St Wins Church project based at St Wins Church, Totton, Southampton. This role is offered as a part-time 2 days per week (15 hours), 1 year fixed-term contract at a full-time equivalent salary of £26,000. The working days are on a Tuesday 9-5 and a Thursday 11-7 (Tuesdays to allow for team staff meetings, and Thursdays to lead the Pillar Space). 

The Pillar is a church-led mental health project for young people aged 11-18 years of age. The Pillar combines evidence-based mental health interventions and a relationship with Jesus, delivered by Christians who have relevant experience in mental health and working with young people.  For more information about the project, please visit the website at www.stwins.org/thepillar

Working within St Wins staff team, the Pillar Lead will deliver, oversee and develop The Pillar project at St Wins Church including the elements ‘The Pillar Space’, ‘The Pillar of practical Skills’, The Pillar: The Series and Alpha Youth. They will ideally have experience in implementing and monitoring project work, leading a team and must have a passion for supporting young people with their mental health. They will need to be confident in networking and communicating with the project's stakeholders, including local health and social care professionals within the local area. The individual should have a strong desire to contribute to the success of an innovative and pioneering project, helping young people benefit from The Pillar's goals and objectives. They will have strong collaboration skills and be motivated to work with others to deliver positive change. 

Closing Date: 5pm on 27th November 2024

Start Date: w/c 2nd March 2025 (this can be earlier depending on recruitment checks and availability)
