Peace. Hope. Freedom.

Young people finding peace, hope and freedom from mental health struggles.

We equip churches to provide mental health support to young people in their local community.

OUR MISSION

We are doing this through our strategic programmes:

THE PILLAR MOVEMENT

We are discovering effective ways for the Church to work with other services to support young people with their mental health.

THE PILLAR FRAMEWORK

We are researching, developing and piloting a framework for the Church to use to support young people.

THE PILLAR TRAINING & RESOURCES

We are developing resources and training which effectively incorporate evidence-based interventions with Biblical teachings.

OUR FRAMEWORK

At The Pillar we offer a framework for supporting young people with their mental health. Our framework is made up of 4 different elements, so that young people can go on their own journey at their own pace. The 4 elements are Belong, Believe, Be Changed and Bring Change.

Belong will always be the entry element of the framework as it is home to the project ‘The Pillar Space’. For a young person to access any element of the project, they first need to be referred to The Pillar Space.

The other elements of the framework can then be accessed in any order.

OUR PEOPLE

At The Pillar we believe that how we do things is just as important as what we do. Our values are the driving force behind everything we do including the decisions we make, the actions we take and the way that we treat everyone we meet.

Ephesians 5 - ‘Be very careful how you live.’

OUR VALUES

OUR APPROACHES

We want The Pillar to look & feel like a real pillar for everyone who is part of it. Because of this our approach and interventions are based around the purpose and structure of a pillar.
