THE PILLAR SPACES

We want to see the Church creating safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental spaces where young people can access support.

We aim to do this by offering the following:

  • Referral-based, regularly scheduled spaces within church buildings where young people can engage with the NHS Five Steps to Wellbeing

  • One-off, pop-up spaces at festivals and events offering mental health support to young people

The Pillar Spaces are places that young people can come that feel safe, supportive and somewhere they can grow in confidence. At The Pillar Spaces, we focus on giving young people the opportunity to engage with the NHS 5 steps to wellbeing through hobbies, conversation, learning new skills and connecting with other young people and leaders. Our regular Pillar Spaces are open in term time and young people will need to be referred by a local professional before joining. There is no requirement for young people to participate in any other projects in order to continue accessing The Pillar Space in their location. There is no faith bias in our regular Pillar Spaces.
